IMPATH Project – Immigrant Pathways

AIPC-Pandora was the coordinator for the IMPATH project, Immigrant Pathways, aimed at the exchange of methodology and good practices, as well as the expansion of common projects for the social insertion of immigrants throughout 2005 and 2006. In 2007, the project received first prize from the European Commission’s DG of Education, Grundtvig Success Stories. The organisations involved in the project were as follows:
Through this project, a exchange framework was created about the of different practices and interventions on the subject of first and second generation immigrants’ social integration that the various organisations have carried out in each participating country to expand on the materials already available on the subject.
During the first year of the project, each organisation chose a successful adult training programme that was being carried out in their organisation and identified the good practices that made this programme particularly effective when it comes to the integration of immigrants. The results from the work of the first year can be seen in the report below.
During the second year, each organisation implemented one of the programmes chosen by the partners, and in this way the AIPC Pandora’s Shadow Theatre course is going to be implemented in Ireland, Finland and France, and in Spain we are going to implement an antidiscrimination training course. The course will be given by AIPC Pandora in Madrid during April 2006.
